In terms of brightness, advertising LED screens exceed other media, such as LED TV, for example. To measure brightness, such units as nits or candelas per m2 are used. The higher is luminosity level, the higher is level of brightness.
Screens with greater brightness values cost more and consume more electricity. Hence, it is important to choose a screen with an appropriate brightness level for not pay more for if it is not necessary. In not waterproof indoor LED screens, LEDs with lower light output are used. In turn, outdoor LED screens are water resistant and include LED of a higher luminosity.

One of the most common misconceptions that our clients have, is usually the confusion between the environmental protection of the screen and the luminosity it offers. This error is induced by unscrupulous vendors who supply outdoor screens to customers who do not need them, with the sole reason of selling a more expensive screen. The deception consists in not informing that there are indoor screens of very high luminosity, which offer luminosities equal to those of the exterior. These screens have the advantage of saving you the cost of protection against rain; which usually makes the price of the screen much higher. The reality is that the brightness of a screen is completely independent of its environmental protection.
WHAT IS THE REAL DIFFERENCE BETWEEN OUTDOOR AND INDOOR SCREENS?
The real difference is the protection of its internal components against rain. The brightness of an outdoor screen is NOT DIFFERENT if we compare it with an indoor LED screen with VERY HIGH brightness

You need an indoor LED screen, since your screen will not be exposed to rain or elements. You can choose the brightness of your screen depending on the sunlight your shop window receives. If your shop window receives indirect light from the sun you can choose standard or high brightness screens. In case your shop window receives an intense and direct sunlight we recommend that you request LED screens of VERY HIGH LUMINOSITY

CAN AN INDOOR LED SCREEN FUNCTION WELL IN A SHOP WINDOW?
Of course. The indoor led displays of Visual Led are resistant to sunlight (UV rays) to heat and dust. No matter how much sunlight your window or showcase receives, the components of our screens will work perfectly. Some sellers of low quality LED screens will tell you that you need an outdoor screen because the components of your screens are not prepared to receive prolonged exposure to sunlight.
THERE ARE SEVERAL TYPES OF INDOOR LED SCREEN. WHICH OF THEM DO I NEED?
It depends on the lighting conditions of the place where the screen will be installed. As a general rule, indoor LED screens with very high brightness are only used in areas that are exposed to direct sunlight, such as windows or shop windows facing south. Depending on the incidence of sunlight on the installation site it may be advisable to opt for lower luminosities and also take advantage of their lower prices.
The viewing distance is an important value to finish defining the interval between two possible pixels. If, for example, we have a 3 x 2m screen, we can choose a correct pixel of 10 mm, if we want your vision to be optimal from 8 m away. But if we want to reduce its viewing distance closer, we will have to select a pixel of 8 mm.
Not really. Remember that smaller pitches are more expensive. If we take the previous example (3×2 m LED screen) and set 10 m viewing distance, the image quality will be the same, whether the pixel pitch is 10 mm or 8 mm. Thus, we mean that choosing a smaller pixel when it is not necessary at certain distances is a waste.
When buying a LED screen, doubts often arise. One of the most common is how to select the correct pixel pitch for your screen. It is natural to want to get optimal viewing quality of an image. In fact, we are tired of seeing screens with a wrong pixel pitch selected. It distorts images and makes it difficult to perceive them correctly, both at short and long distances.
Some people or sales agents believe that to view a LED screen’s content, it is only distance that matters. They mistakenly calculate pixel pitch based only on this criterion and do not take into account the size of the LED screen.
As technical advice, the first thing we have to do is to calculate the total number of pixels that the screen we want to buy has. The amount cannot be less than 30.000 pixels.
Very simple: in the following table, you can check how many pixels correspond to one square meter of each pitch.
For example, if we want a screen of 2×1 m, it is necessary to convert the size into square meters, which is done, as we all know, multiplying the base measurement by the height measurement. In this way, we obtain the surface to which 2×1 m size is equal to 2 m2. Now, we have to look for a pixel pitch, which being multiplied by the surface size, gives us a value greater than 30,000 pixels. For example, let’s imagine that we multiply the surface by the 10 mm pixel pitch (equivalent to 10.000 pixels/m2, according to the previous table). Thus, 2 m2 x 10.000 pixels/m2 = 20.000. Therefore, this value would not be valid for video: it would only be suitable for text viewing.
Let’s try with another resolution in 8 mm (equivalent to 15,625 pixels/m2, according to the previous table). In this case, 2 m2 x 15,625 pixels / m2 = 31,250. Now we do get a suitable value necessary for images and videos reproduction. If, however, you have doubts about the pixel pitch you need, it is better to get professional advice from experts with long experience and hundreds of projects carried out.
Reliability of a led model is measured in rates per thousand. The higher rate per thousand, the better quality and reliability of the led.

Rear maintenance screens require a space behind the screen to access inside. Sometimes, these screens can incorporate doors that must be fully practicable to perform maintenance tasks. If you are installing a rear maintenance LED screen, be sure to leave the space and access necessary for personnel access and door opening.
LED front maintenance screens are designed for wall installations or similar, where we will access their internal parts from the front. The front maintenance screens are slightly more expensive than those of the rear type, due to the mechanisms they integrate for a front access.
